Conceived as the first component of the SystemSix design, the new Cannondale KNØT64 wheels are an impressive engineering feat in themselves. Designed to eliminate the drag penalty normally associated with running wider tires, the KNØT64 wheels manage to pack all the comfort, rolling resistance and grip benefits of larger volume tires into one of the absolute - bar none - fastest wheelsets on the planet.

The disc-only design is significantly wider than other road wheels at 32mm externally and 21mm internally. That extra width makes smaller tires bigger (a 23c tyre measures a full 26mm on the KNOT wheels) and this helps air flowing over the larger tire to reattach cleanly to the rim, maximising flow attachment and minimising drag. As a bonus, while they're optimized for 26mm (23c) tires, the KNØT64 design exhibits minimal changes in drag with even larger tires, giving riders the option to go bigger for comfort without slowing down in meaningful terms. It’s pure speed without compromise.

This KNOT 64 Carbon Clincher Disc Front Wheel uses a 64mm deep carbon rim, bladed DT Swiss Aerolite spokes and DT Swiss hub internals for a truly fast wheel. The 64mm deep carbon rim is effective at a wide variety of yaw angles, yielding an advantage even when the wind isn’t head-on. The wheels are tubeless compatible and come supplied with valves and tape for the conversion, allowing the rider to reap the benefits of lower rolling resistance and greater comfort offered by tubeless systems.
